Not even Firefox 3 beta 5 beats good ol’ Webkit.

Well, it seems Firefox 3 beta 5 is out and with amazing speed results as far as I can see. I just stood in front of it watching it zap through heavy sites I know of and in just a fraction of what I used to enjoy with WebKit.
Nevertheless I must say I won’t change my preferences for three reasons:
- Doesn’t support the CSS3 text-shadow yet.
- Acid3 test: 72/100 (while WebKit beats the crap out of everyone with the astounding 92/100!
- It’s beta and it seems everyone’s complaining on its constant crashing. I just tried the browser experience, nothing big.
I’m super pro-web-standards, call me a maniac but I work with CSS a lot (I mean a lot) and so I need the maximum reliability and integrity according to web standards. Nothing better than WebKit. I’m like Snook: I’d rather wait for a beta 6.
PS: implement CSS-3 text-shadow property, please please! That’s the best property in CSS-3, along with border-radius if well rendered
(update 21/05/2008 - box-shadow and selectors too! :D)
