Yesterday I was looking at Twitter, this simple yet wonderfully designed web application that connects people through short messages telling what are we doing. I didn’t fall in love right away with it at the first time I saw it some months ago, but now I can see the real magic behind it: web services!

If you’re a web developer but are not familiar with it, check it out, it’s just gorgeous. I use GoogleTalk to send commands to Twitter and US cellphones can use Twitter as well! Imagine all this flexibility between applications like Facebook, mySpace, Jaiku, feedburner, that would be sweet. This is beautiful web development, I’m simply astonished.

I will start to lookup on SOAP and WSDL to begin my journey towards the future. In a few years, everyone will have their own design with nothing developed by them. Funny yet powerful. Everyone uses the same stuff but their own way.
